So big...

Just had to post a recent picture to give you a sense of how big our little man has gotten. These pictures are from 7 months, 4 months, 3 months, and 3 weeks old...

Visiting Chambers!

We went to visit Cousin Chambers, Aunt Jame, Uncle TJ, and Jojo in Raleigh in their new house and had a great time. Mozzie drove down with us because Kevin couldn't make it, and Jackson was a champ in his first 4 hour car trip. Their new house is amazing; I definitely had DC house envy! The visit got off to a rough start with conflicting naptimes, the dog eating a box of (poisonous to dogs) raisins, and a Jackson who decided that NC is a great place to wake up at night and not go back to sleep...argh. But the cousins LOVED each other and couldn't get enough time together. Chambers wanted to help Jackson do everything - take a bath, eat breakfast - she is going to be such a good big sister to Baby Kav. And we got some quality time once the kids were down, went to an outdoor mall to get some shopping in, and took the kids to a St. Patty's Day parade - so it was a fun last trip before Baby Kav arrives!

My McCutie

Jackson is often told that he looks like a little Irishman with his dark hair, blue eyes, and rosy cheeks (though at 22 lbs, nothing is little about this man!) So we had a fun time hitting two St. Patty's Day parades with our little good luck charm...

Don't Tell Mama

We always use that phrase when we're doing things with Jackson or Bodhi that I typically wouldn't approve of. It got invented when we saw new dads doing things with their kids that we were sure the mom knew nothing about - like tightrope walking on a ledge with a 5 foot drop, wearing nothing but a tee shirt in 50 degree weather, you get the picture. I was downloading video from our camera the other day, and came across this clip. What made me laugh is that I was already saying 'don't tell mama' before I heard Kevin say it in the clip!

Fun at 7 months!

Jackson is at a pretty fun age right now; alert and chill enough to entertain, but not mobile so easy to contain;) Here are some pictures from our recent adventures. We tried a music class at Gymboree with our friends we made at Stroller Strides - Jenny and Kinsley, and Graeme and Connor. Jackson is into music but we didn't factor in naptime + screaming toddlers surrounding us, so he didn't get as much out of it as we had hoped. So we started our own music class and have been rotating houses with egg shakers, maracas, tambourines - you name it. Jackson is even sporting a baby mullet to complete the rock star look. Now all they need is a really cool band name. Here's Jackson, Connor, and Henry - Jackson's daytime roomie and BFF - feelin the love from the crowd, and another of Jackson and Connor with Kinsley

Jackson and Henry have a blast every day with their nanny, whom they call Gigi. They go for walks, wrestle, sing songs, and generally seem to love her. Here's a picture of them getting ready for a recent morning - first playing on the laptop, and then putting on their glasses she makes them wear on sunny days.
